Direct School Admission 2019

Direct School Admission 2019 - Secondary (DSA-Sec) Exercise

Direct School Admission Sports - Judo, Basketball & Football

The DSA-Sec Exercise was first introduced in 2004 as part of MOE's move towards a more flexible and broad-based education system. Under the DSA-Sec Exercise, participating secondary schools will be able to select a percentage of their students for admission outside of the centralised posting system, via their own selection criteria. These criteria can include diverse academic and non-academic achievements and talents.

Assumption English School (AES) will admit our 2nd batch of DSA Secondary 1 students in 2020 for students with sporting talents in Judo, Basketball and Football.

School Vision
Men and women of Character and Learning in the service of God and Community.

Judo (Boys & Girls)
AES has put in place a good training and developmental programme to develop the physical skills as well as character of our Judokas (Boys & Girls). Over the past years, we have nurtured and developed many outstanding Judokas who have represented our Singapore Schools Team as well as Team Singapore at youth and national levels.

Basketball (Boys & Girls)

The AES Basketball (Boys & Girls) team has consistently performed well at the Zonal and National School Games competitions. Our Basketballers are committed and disciplined in their sport while the school provides a conducive training environment for them to hone and develop their skills and achieve excellence in character building.

Football (Boys)

AES Football Boys team competes actively at the Zonal and National School Games (NSG) competitions. The B Division Boys team finished as one of the Top 4 teams in the West Zone NSG competition in 2015 and qualified for the 2nd round in the WZSSC B Boys Football Championships 2017. The team focuses on developmental approach towards football development in our players.

Assumption English School has a comprehensive developmental programme to develop and nurture our sports boys and girls into outstanding players anchored on values. While our programme focuses on developing the essential physical skills and knowledge in the various sports, it is designed to provide our students with a broad based of experiences that go beyond just playing the sports. These include

                      • Umpiring matches
