Edusave Character Award 2023

Introduction

Our school vision is ‘Men and Women of Character and Learning, in the service of God and Community’. We believe strongly in the development of our AssumptionKnights’ character and values.

Objectives of ECHA

To emphasise the importance of character and values, on part with achievements in the academic domain.
To recognise outstanding students who have demonstrated exemplary character and outstanding personal qualities through their behaviour and actions, and who can be role models to inspire others.

Eligibility Criteria

The nominee must be

a Singaporean citizen;
have a conduct grade of at least very good for both semester 1 and 2;
serve as a role model in his/her conduct (behaviours and actions) and attitude;
consistently demonstrate and uphold the school values:

Compassion	To do what is required to help those who are in need.
Humble	To acknowledge that our achievements result from the contribution and support of others.
Respect	To accept and value the person for who they are.
Integrity	To act in a way that is honest and sincere. To have ideals and values and using them to guide our actions in a consistent manner.
Sense of responsibility	To know and do what is expected of us.
Trust	To believe in the honesty and reliability of self and others.

have a proven record of service to school and the wider community; or
display qualities associated with resilience.

Students who have persevered despite facing difficult circumstances (e.g. financial problems, family issues, health issues, etc.), and managed to overcome the odds and still do commendably well in academic and/or non-academic domains.

Selection Process

The ECHA selection process will begin in Term 3, Week 3.
